Risk Britain was set up by Joe Hayman.
Joe is the former Managing Director of the Holocaust Educational Trust and Chief Executive of the PSHE Association. For the last four years, Joe has worked as a consultant for public and voluntary sector bodies, supporting them on risk and strategy.
He began his career at the Youth Justice Board, running national crime prevention programmes and is the author of two books on modern Britain, British Voices and British Journey.
He has a degree in Economics from the University of York, a Masters in Contemporary History and Politics from Birkbeck College, University of London, and a Masters of Public Administration from Warwick Business School.
On setting up Risk Britain, Joe says:
"I set up Risk Britain because I could see organisations need support on managing risks effectively and taking advantage of opportunities. Risk management is so important to success, yet often organisations don't have the scale or resources to recruit a full time risk manager or risk department. I think I can bring my experience and expertise at a fraction of the cost of recruiting a full time manager or team, and I have a range of off the shelf tools and training which means organisations don't have to create them themselves."
